Concerned about cost? At Arthur Hadley Medicine there is no fee for an office visit associated with travel immunizations! You pay only for the cost of vaccinations and/or medications filled in our pharmacy.
One of the most important steps you need to take prior to travel is completing an immunization schedule before departure. Don't complicate your plans by failing to allow enough time for immunizations! In some cases, multiple doses of one or more vaccines may be required and, while some vaccines can be administered on an accelerated schedule, lack of adequate time could force you to delay your trip. Travelers should allow 6 (six) weeks - ideally, up to 8 (eight) weeks - before departure to allow for all the necessary immunizations to be scheduled. In other words, don't expect to be able to receive all of your required immunizations the day before your trip.
Remember, foreign countries usually require special Visas, notarized authorizations, and immunization cards before you can pass through Customs.
At Arthur Hadley Medicine we offer a wide range of services for the traveler from vaccinations to travel medication packs. We use the guidelines published by the Center for Disease Control to determine which vaccinations you need and when they should be administered. And with Masters's degrees in Public Health and Tropical Medicine, Dr. Hadley is eminently qualified to take care of all of your travel health care needs.
Our Medical Travel Packs are tailored to your specific needs and may include medications for malaria, diarrhea, and motion sickness, and antiobiotics and steroid cream.
When you visit our office you'll be assisted by our friendly, professional staff. We will provide you with the most current travel health information and tailor your immunization and vaccination schedule based on your destinations, planned activities, length of trip, health history, travel conditions, and risks. Minnie Eaton, a registered pharmacist, can assist you with any questions you may have regarding medications.
So give us a call at (281) 597-1010 before you head off on your next venture or contact us through email. Remember to plan ahead as some shots must be administered in a series in order to be effective.
And of course, we also can keep you up to date on the following immunizations:
|
- Tetanus/Diphtheria
- Measles
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Flu
