TRAVEL MEDICINE

1. Acutely ill or with active disorders (MUST consult with physician).
   
   
2. Heart, kidney, or liver disorders (MUST consult with physician).
   
   
3. Those with generalized malignancies, i.e., leukemia or lymphoma.
   
   
4. Patients who are pregnant (should not receive: oral polio, measles, mumps, rubella, or yellow fever).
   
   
5. Infants should not be vaccinated (MUST consult with physician).
   
   
6. Those hypersensitive or allergic to eggs!
   
   
7. Persons with immunosupressed conditions, i.e., AIDS and HIV (should receive killed parenteral vaccines).
   
   
8. Those receiving corticosteroids, alkylating agents, antimetabolites, or irradiation.
   
   
9. Oral polio should not be given to adults who have not been previously immunized or patients who reside with persons with immunosupressed conditions, i.e., AIDS and HIV.
   
   
10. Those allergic to components in vaccines, such as the Neomycin present in some vaccines.
